Posted by System Administrator on 07 March 2010 12:51 PM
The primary format supported for importing video content to the Video Furnace system is MPEG-2 or H.264 Transport Stream files.

The supported format specifications are:

o Video codec MPEG-2 or MPEG-1, audio codec MPEG-1 Layer 2 or
o Video codec H.264 (HD video supported) / AVC, audio codec AAC or AC3 – baseline or main profile (main profile, level 4.1 preferred)
o For best results – constant bit rate and constant frame rate

Adobe Premiere (CS4) has been tested and produces content that can be directly imported (when exported from CS4 in the formats listed above).

The VFEditor tool is used for importing video content.

Techex are happy to test files for import and can recommend options for transforming them into the correct format if necessary.
