Importing content to Video Furnace using AVS

AVS-For-You is a simple low cost software application used for conversion of video files across multiple formats.

This article documents in illustrated steps, the use of AVS-For-You for the purpose of importing video content from varying sources into a Video Furnace system.

 

 

Select convert “To TS” from the dropdown menu.

 

Define a file to be converted by clicking the browse button

 

Locate the video file you wish to convert and click “open”

 

Select an output directory by defining a path or using the browse button

 

Click “Convert Now” to being conversion

 

File conversion speed is dependent on local system specification and may take some time.

 

Open VF and navigate to the tool page, then open VFEditor

 

Click on the Load/Import Asset button

 

Select “Local”

 

Browse to the location of the converted file, select to view all files and open the converted file.

 

Click “Yes” to convert asset

 

Set a temporary local destination for the VF asset

 

Click “Save As”, then “Published” to publish the asset to the VF server

 

Asset will be transferred to the server and available for playback from the portal page  (enabled by default)
